The Fur Ball is the Yakima Humane Society's biggest fundraiser of the year and one of the best parties you can attend in Yakima! The event gathers their supporters together for an unforgettable dinner and auction to support their work.

At every Fur Ball, the community’s most passionate animal lovers and advocates come together to taste amazing food, sip incredible local wines, bid on show-stopping auction items, and dance the night away. But a ticket to the Fur Ball doesn’t just guarantee a fun evening - it puts you in a position to help save and transform the lives of the animals in our community.

All proceeds from the Fur Ball Gala go toward providing food, shelter, and medical treatment for the countless animals who come through their doors each year. Your support also helps sustain community engagement programs, which directly curb animal overpopulation and provide resources, support, and education about responsible pet ownership in Yakima County.

About the Yakima Humane Society

The Yakima Humane Society was founded in 1904, becoming an incorporated entity in 1906. We are a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization proud to be serving the people and animals of Yakima County for over 100 years. We practice and promote the humane treatment of animals through animal control services, pet adoption, humane education, information, referral and quality animal care.

The Yakima Humane Society is committed to ending animal suffering and cruelty, reducing animal overpopulation, and educating the public regarding responsible pet ownership while promoting community kindness and commitment to their welfare.

We are an independent, nonprofit organization. We are not associated with any government agency, nor affiliated with any national organization. We are the only open admission animal shelter in the entire county. All pets are welcome here. We can never, and will never, close our doors or say we're full. We save more than 5,000 animals a year. With no time limits.
