After a one-year hiatus, the Aces Wild Rough Stock Round-Up returns to kick off the first weekend of the Fair in the Coca-Cola Grandstand.

Experience the excitement of bareback riding, ranch bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding as top cowboys compete beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27.

Before each rodeo performance, young cowboys and cowgirls ages 4-6 will take center stage in the always-popular Mutton Bustin' competition.

Famed PRCA rodeo clown Tate Rhoads and award-winning professional rodeo announcer Steve Kenyon will keep the crowd entertained and engaged throughout each performance.

Tickets include Fair admission when purchased in advance.

Mutton Bustin'

6 Seconds and a Sheep! It's a familiar scene at any rodeo, but in this case the rider is a child and the bronco is a wooly sheep. Mutton busting gives young kids a taste of the rodeo’s excitement—without the high-risk intensity of events like bull riding or saddle bronc. Outfitted in protective gear, kids grip onto a sprinting sheep, which is first secured in a chute before being set loose in the arena.

Rules & Contestant Information:

Must be 4-6 years of age
Must weigh no more than 50 pounds
Strongly encouraged to wear long sleeve shirt and jeans
Children can bring their own helmet & vest or one will be provided for them
Children can ride sitting up or lying down!
There is no entry fee for Mutton Bustin'
Only 10 entries per night will be accepted
Parents must buy a general admission rodeo ticket (which includes Fair admission)
Check in between 4:00 - 4:30 PM of the night they are scheduled to ride (next to the rodeo ticket office)
